The Lord is good to those who wait

Publication date Dec 16, 2024

We’re in the second half of December and can’t deny it any longer… Christmas is coming!🎄 Are you excited?

This season tends to get busy – wrapping up work or school projects, attending church events, planning family get-togethers and maybe even some Christmas shopping.

But in the hustle, it’s easy to lose sight of what this season is really about.

We are in the middle of Advent, the four weeks leading up to Christmas. Advent literally means “arrival”, a time of expectant waiting, like anticipating the arrival of a baby. That was literally the case 2,024 years ago during the first Christmas, when the world was awaiting the birth of baby Jesus, the arrival of our Saviour. You can read the story in Matthew 1:18-25

friend I hope you get to enjoy many Christmas festivities and gatherings this year. But remember, the most important Christmas invitation comes from Jesus Himself. He invites you to wait on Him this season.

Waiting on anything or anyone feels like a nuisance in a busy season. But the Bible promises:

“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.” – Lamentations 3:25

So friend, let’s embrace the season of waiting together.

Let’s pray: “Lord, thank You for inviting me to wait on You. Help me to remember that You are the reason for the season, and just like Mary, teach me to wait for Your arrival in my life.”

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
