“Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

Publication date Feb 3, 2025

Happy Monday! 🤗I’d love to explore the themes of faith and fear with you in the coming days–so get ready! 😉

Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as “the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

It goes on to say, “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”Hebrews 11:3

On the other hand, fear is defined in the dictionary as a painful emotion caused by an expectation of evil, or the apprehension of impending danger. Fear is an uneasiness of mind upon the thought of future evil likely to befall us.”

A common factor in both faith and fear is expecting something we cannot see (yet). Faith means hoping for good, while fear means dreading evil.

“Faith and fear both demand you believe in something you cannot see. You choose.” – Bob Proctor

Have you ever heard the phrase “choose faith over fear”? It is a powerful reminder that you always have a choice between faith and fear. Fear does not have to control us.The Bible urges us nearly 70 times to “do not be afraid”. Jesus Himself said, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”Mark 5:36

That’s also David’s approach:

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? ' – Psalms 56:3-4

friend, take a moment to ask God to reveal any hidden fears in your heart and then surrender them to Him by praying this prayer from Psalm 23:4 and Psalm 27:1

“Heavenly Father, today, I choose faith over fear. I believe that You are with me even in the darkest times. You are my light, my salvation and my stronghold; with You in my life, I have no reason to be afraid. I surrender all my fears to You. Amen.”

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
