Are you carrying guilt that only Jesus can speak to?

Publication date Jun 22, 2026

Did you know blood can talk?🩸💬

I’m not making this up. God says so Himself, in the Bible!

First, in Genesis 4, we read how God tells Cain:

“What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s [Abel] blood cries out to me from the ground.” – Genesis 4:10

And in Hebrews it’s written that:

You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. – Hebrews 12:23-24

So, what is this blood saying?

After he brutally murdered his brother, Abel, God starts a conversation with Cain. God doesn’t just give up on him, even with a murderer. He desires to have a relationship. But Cain doesn’t budge, so God confronts him and says his brother’s blood demands justice.

In Matthew 23, we read how Jesus has a similar conversation with the “Cains” of His time, the Pharisees. Just as Cain couldn’t accept that his brother, Abel, was made righteous by his faith (1 John 3:12), the Pharisees also could not accept that they needed Jesus to be saved.

In the end, Jesus was killed by his “brothers”, the Pharisees, just as Cain killed Abel.

Cain, who worked the land, represents the Pharisees and other believers whose self-righteousness leads them to believe that their own works can save them, just as Cain believed his sacrifice should have been enough for God.

Abel is a reflection of Christ, a shepherd, righteous, who trusted God and was killed by the unrighteousness of humankind.

But unlike Abel’s blood, which cried out for justice, Jesus’ blood speaks of forgiveness, freedom, and reconciliation (Romans 8:34).

We are all “Cains”, in need of a saviour. Will you put your faith in God today and admit that you need Him? That’s all He needs to save you!

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
