Today, I want to share one of my favourite verses, a beautiful picture of God’s love from Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves you, He will take great delight in you, in His love; He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.
We serve a God who…1. Is with youThe COVID-19 pandemic came to an end 5 years ago, but there are still many who feel lonely and isolated. God is not far away; He is with you right where you are. His love is not distant or abstract—God’s agápē never withdraws. You are not alone!2. Saves youIf any area of your life needs saving – be it from a bad habit that you just can’t quit, or a challenging financial situation – then remember that your God is a Mighty Warrior. Agápē love doesn’t just observe your struggle but moves into action—it rescues, it dismantles shame and fear—it intervenes. It’s the kind of love that enters the fire, parts the waters, and defeats the enemy on your behalf.3. Takes great delight in you and no longer rebukes youIt breaks my heart when people think God merely tolerates them, as though He barely endures their flaws and failures. Nothing could be further from the truth—God delights in you. His agápē doesn’t just forgive; it rejoices. It doesn’t simply cancel condemnation; it crowns you with affirmation. His love is not weary endurance—it is joyful, overflowing, and exuberant.4. Rejoices over you with singingThink of this: while the entire universe is calling out that One name in heaven, He is calling out your name and rejoicing over you with singing.I can’t say this enough: God is crazy about you!
