Have a heart that fully trusts God.

Publication date Nov 11, 2025

One of my favourite activities with my nephews and nieces when they were younger was to have them jump into my arms. For example, from the table, sofa or the edge of the swimming pool.

They would jump, without hesitation, knowing that I would be there to catch them.

There is something so beautiful about their blind trust. Kids don’t pull out a calculator, weigh the odds, or demand a backup plan. They leap—because trust is their default posture.

That’s the kind of trust God invites us into: childlike trust.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.Proverbs 3:5 NIV

Not only do kids not worry when they jump. They don’t really worry much about anything. They trust that their parents will feed, protect and take care of them.

God takes great care of us, His children, and therefore we don’t have to worry:

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. […] Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” – Matthew 6:25-27 NIV

Being childlike means to place the full weight of your life, your needs, your fears, your future, your unanswered prayers, and your fragile hopes into His hands. It is believing that the God who hung the stars in the sky and holds the oceans in their place also holds you, and He will not fail you.

So, will you choose to trust God with the simple, childlike faith He longs for today?

Tell Him in prayer.

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
