He did it for YOU!

Publication date Dec 12, 2025

Here’s a crazy question for you (and bear with me, I will be making a point):

What would you think if I told you, “You are going to give birth to the wind!”

Could you picture what a “wind baby” or a “son of the wind” would look like? No! Of course not, no one has ever even heard of such a thing!

And that is precisely my point. When Mary was told by the angel Gabriel that she would conceive by the Holy Spirit and give birth to the Son of God, I can imagine she had the same level of confusion you just had while reading my bizarre statement.

No one had ever seen God, just like no one has ever seen the wind. They believed in His existence and lived in obedience to His laws, but giving birth to Him was beyond comprehension.

Today, we can picture what Jesus would have looked like. We know from the Bible that He was like a normal child. We’re used to the concept of a God who became man. Thanks to movies, series (Yay for the Chosen!), illustrated Christian books, and most importantly, the Bible, we can imagine Jesus.

But in Mary’s days, no one had ever seen God face to face. Would this child even have a face? How could God have a face? I can imagine a million more questions would have raged through Mary’s head. There was no frame of reference for Mary to imagine God as a baby.

Over 2000 years later, we are so used to the concept that God became man, but if you pause to think about it, it’s still a mind-blowing miracle that the creator of the Universe made Himself nothing by taking on human form (Philippians 2:7).

There is no other religion whose god came down to earth. Of course, there is only one God, but the deities of other religions require their followers to reach a kind of holiness, perfection, or God likeness to be worthy of favour or blessings. But not Jesus, He:

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!Philippians 2:6-8 NIV

And you know what, He did that for YOU!

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
