God sees… your thoughts

Publication date May 15, 2026

We’re on day five of exploring how God sees us, focusing each day on a different aspect of what God sees. Today might be the most confronting one:

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.Hebrews 4:12-13

God sees… everything! And He specifically looks at our thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 😬

I’m not sure if that’s good news or bad news, because let’s be honest, not all our thoughts are always holy and godly. Don’t we all have thoughts we would rather keep to ourselves?

Not only does God see all our thoughts, but He also judges them! Yikes. That makes it even more confronting. But here’s the good news. God doesn’t judge our thoughts to punish or disqualify us. He does so to make them better, or in more Biblical terms, to renew our minds:

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2 NIV

And here’s the even better news: despite knowing all your thoughts–even the ugliest ones–God still loves you!

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Romans 5:8 NIV

Although God desires to make you holy and renew your mind, no amount of sinful thoughts can ever change His love for you!

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
