All God’s promises are YES in Christ - 2 Corinthians 1:20

Throughout the Bible, we find countless promises from God. But have you ever wondered—what is the greatest promise He ever made? The one promise that upholds your life, my life, and the lives of all people?
Look with me at an ancient promise from God that’s still relevant to us every day. It’s a promise He made Abraham:
In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. – Genesis 12:2-3
What makes this promise so precious to you, me, and every human being?
The answer is Jesus!
Jesus is the fulfilment of God’s promise to Abraham. He is Abraham’s descendant (Matthew 1:1-17), and through Him, all the families, all the people of the earth, are blessed–including you and me!
Jesus isn’t just a blessing; He is the eternal blessing. He is the ultimate promise because our salvation rests in Him.
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. – Acts 4:12
One day, we will leave this world behind, and the only promise that will still carry us, the only promise that will bring us from this life to eternity, is the promise of salvation in Jesus Christ. Not only is Jesus the ultimate promise, but He is also the “Yes” to every other promise God has made:
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. – 2 Corinthians 1:20
friend, Jesus invites you into a relationship with Him to bless you and become your eternal blessing. Accept His invitation today and every day. If this concept is new to you, a great place to start is this Bible reading plan.
