Jesus bled so you could be born again

Publication date Apr 19, 2025

We have almost reached the end of our series ‘Why Jesus Bled for You,’ and tomorrow is Easter. ✝️ I would love to hear from you if you enjoyed this series and if it has brought you any new revelations about Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.

Today, we’ll look at the seventh and final time Jesus bled.

Dying on the cross was a long and slow process. To speed up death, Roman soldiers would often break the legs of those crucified, causing them to suffocate and die within minutes. They did this to the two criminals beside Jesus, but when they came to Jesus, they found that He was already dead:

“They did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken,” and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.”” - John 19:33-34,36-37

The spear in Jesus’ side references the Garden of Eden, where God created Eve from Adam’s rib (Genesis 2). The sudden flow of blood and water is also a striking image of a mother’s water breaking during childbirth. Both of these events revolve around the creation of new life.

The Bible speaks about being born again (John 3:3-5) and becoming a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17-18). Through His death on the cross, Jesus made it possible for us to completely leave our old nature behind and become new in Him as if we were born all over again!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation”2 Corinthians 5:17-18

friend, The final drop of Jesus’ blood was not the end–it was the beginning of new life.🌿

Would you like to receive this new life today friend? Pray with me:

Heavenly Father, today I choose to leave my old ways behind and receive the opportunity to be born again and to be made a new creation in Christ. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
