Jesus bled for your redemption

Publication date Apr 11, 2025

Have you ever been wrongly accused?

A few years ago, our worship ministry was the target of a smear campaign. Our motives were questioned, and we were accused of seeking money and fame over worship in spirit and truth.

The accusations were baseless, but that didn’t hurt them any less. We were used to the occasional unkind messages from people of different faiths, but what made this experience so devastating was that the hate was coming from people who called themselves Christians.

Jesus had a similar, yet a hundred times worse, experience.

Before Jesus was handed over to the Romans to be crucified, He stood trial before Annas and Caiaphas, the High Priests of the Jews, the very people He had come to love, teach, and save.

“The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward.”Matthew 26:59-60

Despite them not finding any fault in Him, they wanted Him to die:

“The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?” They all condemned him as worthy of death.”Mark 14:63-64

During this process, Jesus was continually mocked, spat on and beaten.

“Then some began to spit at him; they blindfolded him, struck him with their fists, and said, “Prophesy!” And the guards took him and beat him.” – Mark 14:65

friend, you and I also have an accuser. The Bible describes satan as the accuser who accuses us before God day and night (Revelation 12:10).

The second time Jesus bled–as He was savagely beaten by His accusers–was to take away all the charges laid against us. The blood of Jesus silences all the accusations of the enemy.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” – Romans 8:1

friend, have you been feeling accused lately? Has the enemy been reminding you of your faults and failures? It’s time to remind him that Jesus’ blood has the final word!

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
