God sees… your tears
Do you cry often? Or ever?
I’m not really a crier, but when I do cry, tears usually flow freely, and it’s not a pretty sight. 😭I prefer crying in private, where no one can see, except maybe Jenny, and of course God!
It’s always encouraging for me to realise that my tears are never wasted; God takes note. He sees them and hears my cries:
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry – Psalms 34:15 NIV
Yet again, a beautiful reminder of how personally involved God is in every aspect of our lives and how deeply He cares about our feelings and emotions.
God does even more than just seeing our tears, the Bible says that:
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. – Psalms 56:8
I love what Jenny wrote a few weeks ago: in heaven, roads are paved with gold (Revelation 21:21), yet tears are carefully collected in a bottle. What does that tell you?
It’s so true! God doesn’t just see your tears; He cherishes them. They are of more value to God than gold.✨
You matter to God! How you feel, the cries in your heart and the tears on your pillow are known to Him. Isn’t that amazing?
Let’s pray and thank God together.
Heavenly Father, thank You that You always see me. Thank You that not a single tear escapes from your attention. Thank You that You hear my cries and know how I feel. Thank You for caring for me more deeply than I can ever understand. Today I want to cry out to You, knowing that You are listening. In Jesus’ name, amen.
