You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

This week, we’re dwelling on what it means to go to the Potter’s House and learn from what we see and experience, as God instructed the Prophet Jeremiah to do in Jeremiah 8.

So, get that picture in your mind: clay, a spinning wheel, shaping hands, water, and fire.

One of the most important parts of pottery is centring the clay.

If the clay isn’t centred on the wheel, it wobbles. It collapses. It flies apart under pressure.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve found that to be true for life in general.

When my life isn’t centred on God, everything feels unstable. My emotions swing. My priorities drift. My faith wobbles. My peace disappears.

But when I allow God to centre me—when I align my life with His truth—there is stability. There is peace. There is clarity.

The Bible says:

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. – Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

And:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5–6 NIV

Centring isn’t something we can achieve on our own. It’s something God does as we submit to Him.

Centring means that you choose:His truth over my opinions. His ways over my preferences. His voice over every other voice.

When you make that choice, you’ll see the difference.

When I’m centred, I’m calmer. More patient. Even joyful in the process.

When I’m not, my life feels chaotic and like something spinning out of control.

Today, choose to stay in His hands—and stay centred, because that’s where life holds together.

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, centre my life on You. Align my heart with Your truth and steady me when I feel off balance. Help me trust You above my own understanding. Keep me grounded in Your presence today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
