God sees… your future
Do you ever wonder what your life will look like in 5 or 10 years? Wouldn’t it be nice if, every once in a while, we could take a quick peek at the future? Just out of curiosity. 😇
Unfortunately, we can’t, and perhaps that’s for the best. If God thought we needed the ability to see the future, I’m sure he would’ve given it to us.
Instead, He assured us that each day, we will receive what we need.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” – Lamentations 3:22-24 ESV
God, however, can see our future. He knows exactly what is in store for us, and He promises:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
I find it comforting to know that God sees the bigger picture, even when we don’t. We might feel overwhelmed by our circumstances or wonder why certain things are happening to us in the moment.
But God can already see all the ways He will use those hardships for our good.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28
