Remind the Lord of His promises and never let Him forget them. - Isaiah 62:6

Publication date Jun 1, 2025

Before Cameron and I got married, someone promised us a honeymoon trip to a beautiful destination. We were excited, but as time passed, they never followed up or made good on their promise. We were disappointed, but we let it go. After all, a gift like that should come from the heart, not from a sense of obligation.

Promises are exciting, but the flip side is that it can be extremely painful when they aren’t kept. Reminding someone of their promises can feel awkward, too; you don’t want to seem pushy.😣

But friend, you never have to feel awkward to remind God of His promises! In fact, the Bible encourages it.

On your walls, Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. You who profess the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; And give Him no rest until He establishes And makes Jerusalem an object of praise on the earth. – Isaiah 62:6-7

In a different translation, it says they must remind the Lord of His promises And never let Him forget them.

Today, on the last day of this series, I want to leave you with a list of God’s promises that you can remind Him (and yourself of):

  • Do you need wisdom? Ask God for it: James 1:5
  • Do you need God to provide? Lean on Philippians 4:19
  • Do you need forgiveness? 1 John 1:9 assures you that you have it.
  • Do you need more peace or patience? Galatians 5:22-23 shows you how to get it.
  • Do you need healing? God commits to heal you: Jeremiah 30:17
  • Do you feel like you’re in a dangerous situation? God promises to protect you: Psalm 91:10
  • Are you afraid? God delivers you: Psalm 34:4
  • Do you need comfort? Revelation 21:4 is your powerful encouragement.

friend, God is the God of promises...promises of life, peace, and victory! What He had promised He was also able to perform. (Romans 4:21)

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
