God’s hand is generous

A father’s hand can be many things: comforting, disciplining, guiding, upholding, and protecting. As we’ve learned this week, God’s hand does all that and more.
Today, we will explore another facet: God’s hand of generosity.
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. – Psalms 145:16
Everything that comes from God’s hand is given freely, abundantly, and without hesitation. God is not stingy!
Think about it–whether He was raining down manna from heaven (Exodus 16), feeding 5000 people with five loaves and two fish (Matthew 14) or surrounding Elisha with angel armies (II Kings 6), God always provides more than enough.
God’s hands are open, not clenched.
King David understood this well. In 1 Chronicles 29, as he gathered materials for the temple, he acknowledged that:
Wealth and honour come from You; You are the ruler of all things. In Your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. – 1 Chronicles 29:12
Instead of boasting about his own ability, David praised God for His abundant generosity.
David recognised a powerful truth: We don’t own what we have—we are simply stewards of God’s blessings.friend, if you ever find yourself doubting God’s provision, remember this—He has always been faithful. His hand is still open toward you, meeting your needs in His perfect timing.
Today, I encourage you to reflect on His generosity. Whether through kindness, sharing your resources, or offering encouragement, find one way to extend God’s open hand to someone else this week.
What’s one way you can be generous today? Write it down and act on it!
