I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
Have you ever felt truly lost—and then found? I have.
I remember, as a six-year-old child, wandering through a bustling, crowded market in Mumbai with my parents. My father thought I was with my mother, my mother thought I was with my father—and there I was, all alone. Fear gripped me.
I cried out, my small voice swallowed by the noise of the crowd. People passed me by, assuming I was just a misbehaving child.
Then, suddenly, I saw him—my father—pushing through the crowd, eyes searching, calling my name. In an instant, I was swept into his arms, safe and held, carried back to home and comfort.
This is what God’s agápē love looks like. It moves through the chaos of our lives, relentlessly pursuing us, calling our names, never leaving us to wander alone. God’s words, which He spoke through Jeremiah—
“I have loved you with an everlasting love (agápē)” – Jeremiah 31:3 :
—were meant to comfort a people who had faced exile, suffering, and uncertainty. Even in the midst of their struggles, God reminds them—and us—of the depth and permanence of His love.
Take a quiet moment. Breathe. And then let the second part of that verse sink in. God says:
“I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”
What does it speak to you, friend? To me, it speaks of the quiet power of God’s agápē love—gentle, patient, unyielding.
Just as my father searched for me until he found me, your Heavenly Father is always at work, drawing you to Him with chords of love.
I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed them. – Hosea 11:4
It reminds me of Lauren Daigle’s song “Rescue”
I will send out an army to find youIn the middle of the darkest nightIt's true, I will rescue youI will never stop marching to reach youIn the middle of the hardest fightIt's true, I will rescue you
You are deeply loved, highly favoured and incredibly blessed!
