God doesn’t grow tired of loving you
Recently, I tried fixing a few lightweight sound panels to the walls of my home studio. I wanted to use an adhesive that would hold up the panels without damaging the walls when we remove them in the future. I used tapes, glues, and any other solution I could think of. But no matter what I tried, the panels kept falling. Eventually, I gave up. 😒
It reminded me, though, that it is a picture of so much in life.
We rely on things—like our jobs, education, relationships, and friendships—that seem strong at first but eventually loosen, fade, or even fall apart.
They hold for a season, but not forever.
And yet, there is one bond that never weakens, one love that never lets go—the agápē love of God.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. – Psalm 136:1
For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. – Psalms 100:5But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children’s children. – Psalms 103:17
The beauty of these verses rests in the words: “endures forever” and “everlasting to everlasting”
Unlike the adhesives of this world that weaken with time, God’s agápē love doesn’t simply stick for a season—it endures for eternity.
It endures through pain. It endures through questions. It endures through the darkest valleys. It holds through the weight of our failures, the storms of our doubts, and the wear and tear of time.
God does not grow tired of loving you!
