Come and share your master’s happiness!

Publication date Sep 9, 2025

Whenever I am on my way home from a concert with Yeshua Ministries, I’m usually exhausted from the travel, meeting so many people and lack of sleep.

Back when I still lived with my parents, my mom would call me and ask, “What would you like to eat when you come home?” My answer was always “Rice and dal, please, mom.

It's nice knowing that someone is preparing for your arrival and that your favourite comfort food is waiting for you when you return.

That’s also the heart of the parable of The Talents (Matthew 25:14-30), it’s about preparing for Jesus’ return.

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He promised His disciples that He would come back (John 14:3). This promise is what we refer to as the Second Coming:

Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.Hebrews 9:28

The Bible doesn’t spell out all the details, and people have been speculating for centuries about how and when. But here’s what we do know for sure:

  • It will be unexpected “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Matthew 24:36
  • We need to be prepared“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.”Matthew 24:44

One of the ways in which we prepare ourselves is by being diligent and faithful with what God has entrusted to us.

In the parable, the master was excited to see what his servants had accomplished in his absence. When he learned of their faithfulness and success, he didn’t just commend them—he invited them to share in his joy. He said, “Join in my happiness!” (Matthew 25:21).

Even more than I look forward to my mom’s dal and rice after an exhausting trip, Jesus looks forward to His return, meeting His good and faithful servants who have been eagerly awaiting His arrival!

He’s preparing for that moment. Are you?

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
