The awkward stare… 👀

Publication date Oct 30, 2024

Are you familiar with that feeling when you’re in a public place and can just sense someone is looking at you? 👀 And then, when you turn around and catch someone in their stare, it can be awkward, right?

Did you know that the Bible says God is looking at you at ALL times? And guess what? It isn’t awkward at all—it’s awesome!

“You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue You, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and You lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.” – Psalms 139:1-6

God sees what you’re going through... grief, injustice, loneliness, betrayal. Nothing goes unnoticed, and He desires to strengthen you in every circumstance.

“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” - 2 Chronicles 16:9

Just like God looks at you, He also wants you to look at Him. He encourages you to shift your focus from your circumstances to Him.

We read this in Psalm 34:5-6

“Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.”

friend, God does not only see you, He also hears you.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”1 John 5:14

Take a moment today to ponder on the fact that God sees and hears you always… and don’t forget to thank Him for it. 🙏
