Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.

Publication date Oct 11, 2026

I really dislike funerals, don’t we all?

No matter the circumstances, even if the deceased lived a full life, death is always painful and sad.

And yet there is something beautiful in remembering the life of a person who was a true servant of God and who loved Jesus. Being able to say “They fought the good fight, they finished the race, they kept the faith!” What a testimony!

As I reflect on what it means to follow Jesus, I’m reminded that the goal is not just to start well, but to finish well. Faithfulness is not a moment—it’s a lifelong posture.

The call of Jesus invites us into endurance, perseverance, and unwavering trust. Whether seen or unseen, recognised or unknown, the invitation remains the same: follow Him fully. Listen to this powerful admonition:

Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. – Revelation 2:10 NIV

This verse challenges us to remain faithful no matter the circumstances. It reminds us that eternal reward far outweighs temporary recognition and that for the follower of Jesus, the ultimate reward is hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matthew 25:21).

Our prayer should be that our life is not defined by how visible we are to others, but by how faithful we are to Jesus. The quiet, consistent walk of obedience is what ultimately matters.

I pray that you are committed to finishing well—to staying faithful, grounded, and devoted to Christ in every season. You can do it!

Let’s pray this together:

Heavenly Father, help me remain faithful to the end. Strengthen my commitment to follow You daily, regardless of circumstances. Keep my heart steady, my faith strong, and my eyes fixed on You. Thank You for the promise of eternal life and the crown that awaits those who endure. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
