God's unfailing love for you will not be shaken

Publication date Oct 26, 2025

Have you ever noticed the mountain on a Toblerone chocolate box?

It’s the Matterhorn in Switzerland. A few months ago, Jenny and I travelled through Switzerland, and we got to see it. We spent a day hiking around it, and it was beautiful. I had never seen such tall, majestic mountains in my life.

As I stood before it, its sheer, steadfast presence made me pause and reflect: This mountain will stand long after I am gone.

Yet, God tells us in Isaiah 54:10 that His agápē love is even more enduring than the tallest mountain.

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Imagine that—the most secure thing you can picture in your life, and yet His love is stronger, deeper, and more reliable. It goes beyond.

In John 16:33, Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart because I have overcome the world.”

Life is unpredictable. In 2020, our son Zac faced a sudden illness that led to a series of complex medical challenges, and in 2025, he passed away unexpectedly.

Yet, amid all the uncertainty and heartbreak, the one thing that remained constant, steadfast and unshakeable was God’s agápē love for us.

Some moments in life hit like massive earthquakes, shaking the very ground beneath us. Yet Isaiah reminds us of two unshakable truths:

  1. God’s love will not be shaken. It doesn’t hinge on what you achieve, how resilient you are, or the chaos around you; His love is unwavering, steadfast, and absolute.
  2. God’s covenant of peace will not be removed. Even when storms rage, He covers you with a peace that passes all understanding.

I’d like to end today by praying for you:

Father, we thank You for this reminder that even if the strongest things we know fall apart, Your love for us will never be shaken. I pray for You to flood everyone with Your agápē love and let them rest in the security of Your peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
