My kingdom is not of this world

How have you enjoyed this week’s “God math” series?
Yesterday, we explored how God reduced Gideon’s army from 32,000 to just 300 men to conquer an uncountable enemy force!
In the New Testament, Jesus takes it even further; to “conquer” the whole world, He sends His disciples out two-by-two 😳
“Calling the Twelve to him, he began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over impure spirits.” – Mark 6:7
Their mission? To advance the Kingdom of God to all nations (Matthew 24:14).
Throughout history, we see attempts of military leaders trying to dominate the world; think of the Romans in Biblical times, Napoleon Bonaparte in the 19th century or Hitler with Nazi Germany during the Second World War. All of them used violence, oppression and force to establish their rule.
God’s math is establishing a kingdom without an army by making disciples and sending them out.
And guess what?! The Kingdom of God is the largest, longest-lasting, and most powerful kingdom the world has ever seen!! It’s a special kind of kingdom:
“Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” – John 18:36
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 14:17
friend, you and I are called to be a part of this incredible Kingdom and to share its good news with the world:
“He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” – Mark 16:15
What an honour to be part of God’s divine plan!
