One of the greatest strains in life is the strain of waiting for God

Publication date Dec 20, 2024

I’m so glad you’re here for day 5 of waiting on Christ during your busy Christmas season!

friend have you ever asked God, “Why do You make me wait?” I have asked Him that many times.

Why would the God of the Universe, the creator of heaven and earth, He who gave the sea its boundary and marked out the foundations of the earth (Proverbs 8:29 and Job 38:8-11) want us to wait on Him?

And why does He, who can reveal Himself through a burning bush (Exodus 3:2) or a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:11-13), choose, at times, to hide His face from us?

King David wondered the same:

“How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?” – Psalms 13:1

Humanly, we might never be able to comprehend God’s “whys " because His ways are so much higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).

But friend, I have observed something in my own life. Every season of waiting God allows me to go through, eventually results in greater blessings

Waiting can be a lonely, painful and testing experience.

“One of the greatest strains in life is the strain of waiting for God.”- Oswald Chambers

But the Bible assures us:

“Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”Romans 5:3-5

Trust that everything God asks you to do, including waiting on Him, will greatly bless your life!

Lord Jesus, thank You that You pour out Your love into friend’s heart and that no matter how long we wait on You, our waiting is never in vain!”

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
