The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.
How do you know if God is calling you?
Sometimes God calls people in extraordinary ways: a burning bush for Moses (Exodus 3), a prophet for David (1 Samuel 16) or an angelic visitation for Mary (Luke 1:26-38). 🤯
I’ve only experienced such an audible call from God once in my life. But most of the time, His call isn’t as loud and clear as in the above examples. It’s more like a convergence of dreams, desires, experiences and circumstances, confirmed through scripture and prophetic words and completed with a mixed sense of peace and excitement.
That also describes our journey leading up to the start of Chamatkar Every Day. For years, we ministered through Yeshua Ministries, travelling the world to spread the gospel through music. Even though we enjoyed the event-based nature of our ministry, we felt a growing desire to provide ongoing discipleship.
We also recognised the need for and impact of online ministry. This became even more evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, our circumstances changed when our son, Zac, fell sick, and travels became less frequent.
We met the Jesus.net team in 2024 and were asked to become the authors of A Miracle Every Day for South Asia. We felt God leading us into a partnership with Jesus.net and Chamatkar Every Day, which perfectly aligned with the ministry we’d already been doing for so long 😃.

Write down:
- What do you think God’s calling for your life is? If you’re unsure, leave it blank for now.
- Your dreams (such as hobbies, music, travel, studies, family, career, etc)
- Your talents
- Any prophetic words you’ve received over the years
- Scriptures that speak to and challenge you
Look at the list; does it align? Does it bring you peace and excitement?
If you left #1 open, review the list. Do you sense God speaking now or pointing you in a direction?
Understanding your calling is a journey, not an instant revelation (usually). If your list is incomplete, trust that God will reveal it in His time.
