God will meet all your needs

Publication date Nov 15, 2025

Growing up, my dad always provided for us. Even today, he’ll still ask me, “Do you need anything?”

When I became a mom, it struck me how incredibly dependent Zac was on me for every single thing.

Babies can’t feed, clothe or wash themselves. And even when kids grow older, they still depend on their parents for financial support.

When Zac started eating solid foods at 6 months old (before he fell ill), it would take him great effort to pick up pieces of food and put them in his mouth. At the end of a meal, it seemed like he had achieved the impossible; he fed himself!

But of course, the truth is that I prepared the meal, the groceries were picked up by Cameron and paid for by our hard work. Zac was entirely dependent on us for everything.

The same is true for us and our Heavenly Father. We may not always realise it or take the time to notice, but He takes care of us; from the air we breathe to the house we live in, every good and perfect gift comes from Him (James 1:17).

Jesus says in Matthew 6:31-33 (and I’m paraphrasing):

“Your heavenly Father knows that you need to eat, drink and be clothed”

Paul echoes this confidence in Philippians 4:19 NIV :

And my God will meet all your needs, according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

What happens when we forget this truth? We start to worry.

Corrie ten Boom once said:

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.

How true is that? Worry solves nothing. It only drains us.

That’s why, in the same passage from Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, in no uncertain terms, “DO NOT WORRY!”

So, what should be done instead? Cultivate childlike dependency.

The kind of carefree, trusting attitude that says, “whatever comes my way, I’ll be ok because I know Dad’s got this!”

Like David in Psalms 118:6 NIV :

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

Whatever it is you are facing today, remember: your Dad’s got this!

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
